Boston, MA - April 25, 2001
GenuOne, the leader in comprehensive brand security solutions, and Starensier, Inc., the 100 year-old global provider of engineered textiles, today announced a strategic alliance. The two companies will offer value-added, BrandSecureTM solutions and secure distribution track and trace capabilities in the Far East to global companies in markets including footwear, sporting goods, activewear and luggage.
According to the agreement, GenuOne will offer its BrandSecure portfolio of innovative, cutting-edge technologies in combination with its expertise in integration engineering through Starensier's Far East manufacturing facilities. Starensier will supply its innovative fabric engineering capabilities, access to its high-profile client base and use of its manufacturing facilities in the Far East and around the world.
"Starensier was, is and always will be a value-added fabrics manufacturer," said Josh VanDernoot, Starensier Vice President of Sales. "GenuOne's security-focused applications add a new dimension to our long-standing corporate definition. As a brand security solutions provider, GenuOne brings an additional purpose of product authentication, tracking and control to our customers' products. This new value-added offering, coupled with the logistical advantage of a Far East rapid fulfillment capability, will be a very attractive offering for global manufacturers. We are looking forward to a long and beneficial relationship with GenuOne."
Starensier is a 100 year-old company headquartered in Newburyport, Massachusetts and Hong Kong.
